Last Friday, the Warren County YMCA held a groundbreaking ceremony at the site of the new Pattee Water Park. The project has been in the works for a year and a half now and is now ready for construction to begin, which is scheduled to start in mid-April. Sam Brooks, Executive Director at the YMCA, shares more details of what the new site will house:
“We will have a nice big 18 foot high water slide. We will have a one meter diving board and a three meter diving board. We are also going to have a Splash Dump Bucket, which fills up and then dumps a ton of water down. We will also have a toddler slide. There will also be a beautiful concession area, which will almost be pavilion like and then connected to the pool will be a six lane 25 yard pool,” shares Brooks.
The projected date for the grand opening is Memorial Day weekend 2020.
