The Knox County CEO Program will be closing out the year by hosting a Trade Show open house on Tuesday April 30th. Ken Springer, President of the Knox County Area Partnership (KCAP), explains what to expect at the event:
“What the trade show is, essentially it is a representation of everything our young CEO students have been working on all year. Each one has built up an operating business and they will be showing off what they have done trade show style and setting up booths and selling to the public,” shares Springer.
The event will take place from 6pm to 8pm at the Lake Storey Pavilion.
KCAP is partnering with the Galesburg Area Vocational Center, the Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce, and Carl Sandburg College to host a Career and Technical Education signing day. Springer has the details:
“Typically a signing day is reserved for student athletes when a high school student is going to go to college to play sports. We thought it would be cool to take that format and use it to recognize students that are getting employable job skills and add to our region of labor force. We will be recognizing over 80 students from all around Knox County, who will either be continuing their education or go straight into the work force in a career of technical education related field,” Springer states.
The signing will be held in the Galesburg High School Auditorium at 9:30am on Wednesday May 2nd.
