MONMOUTH, Ill. – Monmouth College’s Becca Dabrowski (McHenry, Ill./West) has ended her Fighting Scots water polo career in style, earning MVP and Player of the Week awards from the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA).
Dabrowski was voted the 2019 CWPA Division III Most Valuable Player in a vote of the league’s coaches, just hours after earning the CWPA Player of the Week honor. Monmouth’s all-time leading scorer eclipsed the 100-goal plateau this season on her way to becoming the first Scot – men or women – to break the 200-goal mark, setting the program record. The senior pumped in 27 goals in three games at last weekend’s conference tournament, guiding the Scots to a third-place finish – their highest finish in program history. She finished the season with averaging more than six goals per game on her way to a school-record 111 goals and a team-high 54 steals with 17 assists.
