Galesburg, IL (May 13, 2019) Want to report a pothole, park equipment in need of repair, or tall grass? You can now report these issues, or any service request, to the City of Galesburg through a mobile app. Public Service Request (PSR) is a quick and easy way to communicate with the City, and can be utilized by downloading the app or navigating to the program on the City’s website. The app is available on Google Play and the App Store.
In order to provide more information on how to utilize the tool, the City is hosting training sessions. The training sessions are open to the public, and there is no cost to attend. All of the sessions will include the same content and pre-registration is not required. Training sessions are scheduled for:
Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
All sessions to be held at Galesburg City Hall, 55 West Tompkins Street.
Designed by Public Service Request, LLC, this system will track the history of citizen requests, responses, and any follow-up communication that is requested. Citizens who choose to include an email address will receive automatic updates on the status of their request, although the option to submit requests anonymously is also available for those not requesting updates.
“This is a very user friendly app, and quick and convenient way to relay information to the City,” said Kelli Bennewitz, City Clerk. “We hope to have a good turnout at the training sessions and increase the number of community members who are aware of and utilize this resource.”
For more information on PSR or the upcoming training sessions, please contact the Galesburg City Clerk’s Office at 309/345-3610.
