Kids Health and Safety Day June 8

Share

OSF and the Warren County YMCA will be hosting the Kids Health and Safety Day on June 8 from three to five pm at Sunny Lane Field in collaboration with Relay for Life.

Activities at the event include a kids pound class – a drumstick exercise program – a baseball throw, Touch a Truck – including a mobile EMS trailer and the OSF Life Flight helicopter – and will also include free bicycle helmets, face painting, and balloon art.

Amber Wood of OSF Holy Family Healthcare spoke to us about the community outreach in creating the Kids Health and Safety Day.

“One of the most exciting parts is we have really built it into a community collaborative this year. Joining us is the YMCA, and we are excited we were able to partner to build this day to be bigger with more activities and fun for families in our community!”

The event will be moved to United High School gym if there is rain in the forecast on June 8.
