Gearing Up for Halfway to Freezing for Food to Help Provide for the Community

Share

Just a short two weeks away, Halfway to Freezing for Food is slated to take place at Save A Lot Food Store in Monmouth. On June 4th, 5th, and 6th, members of the community will come together to collect food for Roseville Helping Hands Food Pantry and Jamieson Community Center. Nancy Mowen, Director at Jamieson Center, shares just how important receiving food donations is:

“The summer months are really busy. Children are home from school, which were receiving breakfast and lunch at school and now they are not. So there are more meals to prepare at home and food can be a real issue for families,” Mowen says.

Mowen states Jamieson Center will accept any food donations, but they do have an overabundance of beans already in their pantry.
