The Monmouth-Roseville Titans hosted their old Olympic and West Central Conference rivals, the Rockridge Rockets, as they began a new era of Titan football last night at Coach Dobry Field. The Titans fall 27-7 in their Three Rivers Conference debut. The Rockets scored a touchdown on their first possession of the game but Monmouth-Roseville would answer back two plays following the ensuing kickoff on a 38 yard scamper by Matthew Burris. But despite numerous trips inside the red-zone, including 3 first and goal opportunties, that would be the final points the Titans would put on the scoreboard. With the score 20-7 in favor of the Rockets at the half, neither team would dent the scoring column again, until Rockridge running back, Nathan Parchert hit paydirt from six yards with 3 and a half minutes to play. Parchert rushed for over 200 yards in the game. The Titans were led by Matthew Burris’ 73 yards. Monmouth-Roseville quarterback Jordan Cheek threw for 175 yards in the game.
