G.S. and Lisa Bond have been recognized as the August residential award winners of the Community Improvement Blue Ribbon Award for work on their property at 260 East Fremont Street. They were nominated by Tyler Bond and Paulina Dickson for renovating the former Danner’s Bakery into a single family home. Neighbors have indicated they are thrilled with the project. Improvements include renovations to the exterior of the structure and landscaping.

The purpose of the Community Improvement Blue Ribbon Award program is to recognize Galesburg residents and businesses who have improved the exterior appearance of their property through new landscaping, painting, signage or general cleanup. Nominations are due the 25th day of every month with winners displaying a sign during the following month.
The City congratulates this award winner and encourages residents of Galesburg to continue to submit nominations for residential, commercial or industrial improvements. Nomination forms are available on the City’s websiteat City Hall in the Planning and Public Works Department, or by calling 309/345-3614 to request a form.
