Ghost Town Choir Members Touch on Changes in Music

Share

Ghost Town Choir is a four-man rock group based out of Monmouth, Ill. Members of the band, Chris Carr and Brian Glasgow, talked about their latest project, Common Ground Eclipse, and how the entire landscape of music has changed in recent years.

“You could write a song, record a song, and put it out on the same day. You literally could put a song out the minute you write it,” Carr said.

Glasgow agreed that the process of making music has become a lot easier over the years, and it simplified the process of the creation of their latest album, which released in Nov. 2016.

“We did all the work on this CD ourselves in our own homes,” Glasgow said. “We tracked everything, we mixed everything. We had a friend of ours, Anthony Gravino, who is actually from this area – he’s in Chicago now – but he mastered it for us.”

The duo will be performing from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. this Saturday, August 19th, in Burlington at the Beancounter.
