The Monmouth-Roseville High School boys golf team hosted a 4-team meet at Gibson Woods yesterday. The Titans welcomed three Western Big Six Conference teams for a nine-hole contest. The Alleman Pioneers beat all teams with a team score of 311. Quincy was second with a 328 score, Galesburg placed third with team total of 342 and Monmouth-Roseville shot a 351. Alleman’s Gabe Beardsley was the meet medalist with a 4-over 75. Nick Corman led Monmouth-Roseville with an 84. He was followed by Lane Frieden’s 87, JC Sells’ 88 and Reese Kane’s 92. For the Galesburg Silver Streaks, they were led by Owen Hawkins’ 78, Lucas Watson’s 83, Justin Endthoff’s 86 and Luke Bradburn’s 95.

The United Red Storm golfers were also at Gibson Woods for a dual match with Mid-County. After nine holes, the Red Storm and Cougars were tied with a pair of team totals of 191 but the 5th-man tiebreaker would go to United to give the Storm the win. Zach Marshall was the meet medalist with a 5-over par 40. Andrew Fuller added a 48 for United. He was followed by Dhylan Hepner’s 49 and Evan Wynne’s 54. Mid-County was led in scoring by Matt Grave’s 45. Mason Kaiser was also under 50 with a 47. Mid-County only had one female golfer so no team scores were kept on the girl’s side but the Cougar’s Elizabeth Whitford won meet medalist honors with a 43. The Red Storm were led by Emily Grodjesk’s 53, Paige McKeown’s 60, Alex King’s 62 and Erin Glisan’s 63.

The Ridgewood Spartan boys golf team beat Sherrard 161-168. Ridgewood’s Levi Swanson was the meet medalist with a 37. Thomas Bumann added a 38 for the Spartans.
