Here’s your Athletes of the Week for the week ending Aug. 29th, 2017:

Your Monmouth-Roseville Athlete of the Week is senior cross country runner, Riley Dulin. Riley got his final year of cross country off to a fantastic start with a first-place finish in the Annawan-Wethersfield Titan Invitational at Kewanee Dunes Golf Course. His time of 16:31.1 seconds over the 3-mile course was nearly a whopping 30 seconds over the runner-up.

Your United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is senior golfer, Zach Marshall. Zach has started his senior year with a bang. He’s been the meet medalist or his team’s low scorer in all six meets so far. His lowest total so far was a blistering round of 39 at Maple Lane Country Club in Elmwood.

Your West Central Athlete of the Week is junior football player, Luke Ditsworth. Luke led a furious second half comeback for the Heat during a non-conference game against North Fulton. He totaled 163 rushing yards on 24 carries and also scored two touchdowns in the game.

Your A-Town Tornado Athlete of the Week is junior football player, Jay Allbright. Jay helped lead his team to a non-conference win over Mid County with an outstanding offensive game. He rushed for 201 yards on 31 carries and scored two touchdowns.

Your Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is junior girls golfer, Kirsten Osborn. Kirsten has been her team’s low scorer nearly every meet so far this season. She was the tournament medalist in the Rock Falls Invite and was 5th individually at the Rochester Invitational as well.
