Prime Beef 5K Changing Locations

Share

The 4th Annual Fall Festival 5K hosted by the Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau will have a change in location this year. President of the Farm Bureau Jared Kunkle discussed the reasoning behind the move.

“This year, it’s been changed from out at the Prime Beef Festival to out by Monsanto here south of town. They’re letting us use their parking lot as a gathering. We were able to shut some roads down to keep traffic down. That was some of the problem we ran into,” Kunkle said.

The event is scheduled to start at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9th. The race course will take participants along 80th Street south of Monmouth. Registration and parking will take place at the Monsanto Learning Center, located at 1677 80th Street.

The race fee is $25 if paid prior to Aug. 28th. The fee bumps up to $30 if paid after Aug. 28th. Participants will receive a t-shirt, along with an after-race beverage and snack. Top male and female competitors will receive a prize, and door prizes will be available.
