Scott Weber is your 2017 Men’s Monmouth All-City Golf Champion for the 2nd time in his career. Weber came from two shots down with nine holes to play yesterday in the final round at Gibson Woods. Weber shot a 2-day total of 141 to beat another 2-time champ, Jim Sloan, who took 143 shots to get around the Monmouth Country Club on Saturday and Gibson on Sunday. Weber last won the title back in 2008, oddly with the same score of 141. 2017 Monmouth-Roseville High School graduate Brayden Reece was third with a 145. Reece will golf for Carl Sandburg College this fall. Former United High School and Carl Sandburg College standout, Justine Brentise won the women’s division for the fifth straight time, beating Cathy Kehr by 13 strokes.
