Titans' Adolphson Discusses 2017 Football Outlook

The Monmouth-Roseville Titans will debut the 2017 version of their football team this Saturday, August 19th, at Warren Dobry Field for their intrasquad scrimmage at 5:30 p.m. Head Coach Jeremy Adolphson believes the collection of leadership and experience on this year’s team could lead to big things.

“I think you start every season thinking you’re going to be pretty good, until you find out you’re not,” he said. But I think this team has a chance to be very, very good. Playoffs is obviously our goal. It’s been five years now since we’ve been there. It’s not going to be easy. There’s not five wins that you can circle on our schedule that we’re for sure going to get, but I think we have an opportunity to be competitive in each and every one.”

Monmouth-Roseville faces a new challenge this season, joining a new conference, but that new conference is full of familiar foes. Adolphson believes the move brings stability, and is happy the school could find a good match.

“We’re very excited. We’ve been looking for a home for a long time. This is the one that’s always made the most sense, as far as, getting back together with Sherrard, Rockridge and Orion,” Adolphson said.

Adolphson and the Titans open up their regular season schedule at home on Friday, August 25th, against Rockridge at 7:30 p.m.
