CSC's Hilton Previews Travel Fundraiser

Share

Last September, Carl Sandburg College started a celebration for their 50th year of existence. This September, the celebration is coming to a close with a huge fundraiser. Stephanie Hilton, CSC’s Director of Advancement, gave some details on the big event.

“It’s called Donations and Destinations: 50 Trips for 50 Years. We are going to be auctioning off 50 different trips. We have 45 silent auction trips and five live auction trips, so it’s going to be a lot of fun,” Hilton stated.

The array of trips each have something special to offer. If you don’t want to travel far, you can bid on a hot air balloon ride above Warren County. If you would rather travel abroad, Italy is a possible destination. Or if you’re more of a sports junkie, you can bid on a trip to the upcoming Illinois vs. Wisconsin college football matchup.

“You do want to purchase tickets for that. They’re 30 dollars. That comes with your food, and then we will have a cash bar available. You can get those online at our website – sandburg.edu/fundraiser. It also gives a list of the trips on that page as well,” Hilton said.

The Carl Sandburg College Foundation will hold their Donations and Destinations: 50 Trips for 50 Years fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 16th, at 6:00 pm at Yemm Ford in Galesburg.
