PLATTEVILLE, Wisconsin—The Prairie Fire women’s soccer team picked up their first win of the season on Wednesday, defeating Wisconsin-Platteville 2-0.

Knox (1-2) found the back of the net halfway through the first half when Corina Leyva found Alex Robertson for the score. The Prairie Fire took at 1-0 lead into halftime and Kayla Brown added a goal in the 82nd minute to put the game away. Melissa London assisted.

Knox outshot the Pioneers 19-7 and goalkeeper Katy Coseglia saved all three of the shots on goal.

The Prairie Fire return to action on September 10 when they travel to Milwaukee School of Engineering.
