GRINNELL, Iowa – Kayla Brown of Knox College and Connor Keegan-Lloyd of Beloit College have been honored as the Midwest Conference (MWC) Women’s Soccer Performers of the Week.

Brown tallied five goals on the week to lead the Prairie Fire to wins over Greenville College and Buena Vista University. She scored two apiece in the two wins and added the only Knox goal in a 2-1 loss to No. 25 Loras College.

In two matches this week, Connor Keegan-Lloyd made 17 saves and allowed just one goal as the Bucs won both matches. At Edgewood College on Wednesday, she made seven saves and earned the first shut-out of the season for Beloit. Against Marian University on Saturday, Keegan-Lloyd made 10 saves, and allowed one goal, which was on a penalty kick. She made pivotal saves late in the game when Marian had a huge possession swing, including a 1-on-1 tip over the cross-bar at the very end of the game, which made two stops in 30 seconds for the freshman goalie.

Notable Performances
Beloit’s Genesis Dade scored three goals in two matches this week with two of them being game-winners. Against Edgewood College on Wednesday, Dade broke a 0-0 tie in the 88th minute, scoring the only goal of the game to earn the first road win of the season for Beloit. Against Marian University, Dade had two goals in a 3-1 decision. She scored unassisted in the 55th minute and added her second tally on an assist by junior Courtney Ceurvorst.

Jacie Reis of Monmouth College made her goals count last week, netting both goals in Saturday’s 2-1 overtime win over Buena Vista University. With the Scots trailing 1-0 with less than five minutes to play, Reis scored the tying goal in the 87th minute. She then pushed Monmouth to the win with the game-winning goal in the 96th minute. Just the day before, the sophomore tallied an assist in a 4-0 blanking of Greenville College. With Reis’ help, the Scots posted a 2-1 stretch.

Miye Aoki-Kramer helped Ripon College go 2-1 in their three games last week, with wins against Wisconsin Lutheran College and the University of Dubuque. Against Wisconsin Lutheran, Aoki-Kramer notched her fifth career shutout, which moves her into fifth place in school history. She also recorded 21 saves last week, giving her 122 for her career, which moves her into ninth in school history. Aoki-Kramer now holds a 16-3-1 record as the Red Hawks keeper.
