Knox College's Rose Griffin Earns MWC Volleyball Performer of the Week

GRINNELL, Iowa – Knox College’s Rose Griffin and Beloit College’s Abby Gessell have been named the Midwest Conference (MWC) Offensive and Defensive Performers of the Week, respectively.

Griffin picked up 28 kills for a .455 hitting percentage last week in wins over Rockford University and Iowa Wesleyan University. Against Rockford she picked up her 990th career kill to move into third all-time at Knox and then cleared her 1,000th kill in the match against Iowa Wesleyan.

Gessell totaled 37 digs in two Buc victories last week. The junior totaled 20 against Mount Mary University and 17 against Alverno College for an average of 6.16 per set.
