Golf

The Lincoln Trail Conference Railsplitter championship meet took place at Oak Run Golf Course in Dahinda. The United Red Storm girls golf team won their second straight conference title with a team total of 435. They were led by medalists Emily Grodjesk in 5th with a 108 and Alex King in 6th also with a 108. Paige McKeown’s 109 and Erin Glisan’s 110 rounded out the scoring, giving them medals as well in 7th and 8th place respectively. Mid-County’s Elizabeth Whitford was the individual champ with a 90. On the boy’s side, Ridgewood is the team champ with a score of 313. They were led by LTC individual titleist, Thomas Bumann’s 73. His teammate Levi Swanson was second with a 74 and fellow Spartan Gannon Greenman tied for third with an 81. The United Red Storm boys were fifth as a team, shooting a total of 373 strokes. United was led by Zach Marshall’s medal-winning score of 85. He finish tied for 7th place. Evan Wynne carded a 92, Andrew Fuller shot a 93 and Drew Brown’s round of 103 rounded out the scoring for the Red Storm. The West Central Heat boys were 8th as a team and were led by Nathan Wetzel’s 86 and Dylan Dermer’s 99.

The West Central Conference’s 10-team championship meet was held at the Macomb Country Club. QND is the team champ, with Macomb placing second and Monmouth-Roseville finishing third. QND shot a team total of 318, Macomb carded a team total of 325 and the Titans shot a 368. Lane Frieden led Monmouth-Roseville with an 88, four strokes from medaling. Nick Corman shot a round of 89, Reese Kane carded a 90 and JC Sells rounded out the scoring for the Titans with a 99.

Volleyball

The West Central Heat fell to Annawan 25-17, 25-8 in Lincoln Trail Conference play. Danyel McKune smashed three kills and had four blocks for West Central. Corinne Booton led in digs for the Heat with six and led in points with five. Tori Olson handed out four assists.

Wethersfield remained unbeaten in the LTC at (5-0) and overall on the season at (22-0) with a 25-9, 25-9 win over Ridgewood.

Williamsfield lost to Princeville 25-20, 25-19. Alexis Little led Williamsfield with five kills and Gionna Ott dished out 12 assists.

Also, it was Mercer County over Stark County, 25-19, 19-25, 25-22 and Galva beat ROWVA in Galva.

Tennis

The Galesburg Silver Streak girls tennis team traveled to East Moline to take on the United Township Panthers yesterday afternoon. The Streaks fall to Panthers 8-1. Getting the lone win for Galesburg was the #2 doubles team of Adyson Eastburg and Taylor Hostens.
