Knox County Big Brothers Big Sisters have organized a “Putt-and-Crawl” fundraiser that will take place in Galesburg on Saturday, Sept. 30th. Alysia Poulos with Big Brothers Big Sisters explained what participants can expect for the event.
“They set up a mini golf course at several of the local downtown bars at places like Cherry Street, Duffy’s, Corner Connections. You go around – maybe enjoy a beverage or two – and play some putt-putt golf, and support the kids in your community,” Poulos said.
Eight bars will participate in the event. Team sizes will be between two and four players, and winners will be determined by the lowest average score. Registration for the event – located at Cherry Street – will start at 11:00 a.m., golfing will start at noon, and the event will end at approximately 5:00 p.m.
