Your Area Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sept. 19th, 2017

Your Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is senior volleyball player, Kaylee Woodard. Kaylee was oustanding at the net and at the serving line for her team last week. She smashed 11 kills against Macomb and then scored 21 points in 3-set victory over Ridgewood.

Your United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is junior girls golfer, Erin Glisan. Erin helped lead the Red Storm to two wins last week, including the lowest team score in United girls golf history. In the two meets, she carded a pair of 48’s.

Your West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is senior volleyball player, Tori Olson. Tori led the her team in assists in all three matches last week. She averaged over 15 helpers in each contest, with a high of 31 in a loss to Ridgewood.

Your A-Town Tornado Athlete of the Week is senior cross country runner, Andrew Powell. Andrew seems to run his best when the competition is the toughest. He finished in 39th place out of 103 runners at the Dunlap Invitational. He was 139th out of 590 runners at the Peoria First to the Finish Meet earlier this season.

Your Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is senior soccer player, Ezechiel Biamungu. Zeke put three goals in the back of the net for a hat trick in a recent 5-0 win over Kewanee. He has been a steady scorer all season long for the Silver Streaks.
