Your United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is junior cross country runner, Yovani Larios Saavedra. Yovani had an oustanding meet at the Monmouth-Roseville Titan Invitational at Monmouth Park. His time of 20:18.11 placed him 26th in a field of 55 runners.

Your Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is senior football player, Jordan Cheek. Jordan threw for 281 yards and three touchdowns in a Homecoming win over Sherrard. That brings his total to 10 touchdown passes and over 900 yards in the air through five games.

Your Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is senior volleyball player, Hannah Huppenbauer. Hannah was a force at the net in her team’s runnerup in finish in the Burlington Grayhound Invitational. In four matches, she led the Streaks in kills with 31 and blocks with 11.

Your A-Town Tornado Athlete of the Week is senior football player, Hunter Darst. Hunter exploded for five touchdowns in a Prairieland Conference win over South Fulton. Along with those five scores, he also ran for over 200 yards on just 17 carries.

Your West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is senior cross country runner, Freeman Shoemaker. Freeman burned up the course on a hot day at the Monmouth-Roseville Titan Invitational. His time of 17:49.62. was good enough to earn a 4th place medal.
