Maple City Concert Series Kicks Off Tonight

The 2017-2018 Maple Leaf Community Concert Series starts tonight, and will feature the Main Street Souvenirs and Scott Kirby, Pianist. The event begins at 7 p.m. and is a multi-media stage performance featuring live piano music, a spoken narrative, and a video presentation. The visual part of the program will consist of Kirby’s original artwork, his video footage, his photography, and archival photos. The music in the first half will span 150 years of Americana, including Scott Joplin, Stephen Foster, and John Philip Sousa and will continue up through the present. The series begins tonight and will be held at Dahl Chapel on the Monmouth College campus.

Tickets for the concert series are $70 and include four shows in Monmouth and four in Canton. Students are free if they attend with an adult or guardian.
