The Illinois Farm Bureau will be starting 2018 off with a unique opportunity. The 2018 Issues Tour will take farm bureau members to Argentina and Brazil to examine how South American farmers are producing their crops and what some of the major factors are in their success. Manager of the Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau, Carol Ricketts, explains:

“The tour will be Jan. 27th through Feb. 4th in Argentina and Brazil. Applications are due to the Illinois Farm Bureau by Nov. 13th. The Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau helps sponsor those, so we would like to see the application by Nov. 8th,” Ricketts said.

Be advised that all applicants for the 2018 tour must be first time participants in an IFB market or issues tour. More information and the application can be found on the IFB’s website under the “News & Events” tab.

Ricketts also gave a reminder about an upcoming presentation coming up to the Knox County Farm Bureau.

“On Nov. 20th, we have Steve Johnson coming over to the Knox County Farm Bureau. Warren-Henderson helps co-sponsor that. He’ll do his bi-annual marketing presentation,” she said.

For more information on these upcoming events, call 734-9401 or email the Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau at whfb@whfarmbureau.org.
