The 38th Annual Holiday Craft & Home Show is this Saturday, Nov. 18th. Crafts will be at the VFW in Monmouth, while the Home Show and Bake Sale will be housed at the Farm Bureau Building at 1000 N. Main St. Diane Fedorow with Warren County Home & Community Education talked about this wonderful event:
“We have a great variety of hand-crafted items for sale this year. All the craft booths have to be 50 percent handmade goods, so you’ll find jewelry, holiday decor, jellies, jams, salsas from Linda’s Salsa, goat soap – we also have a couple people that do signs – recycled stained glass, lots of snowmen and santas, quilted baby items, hand-crotcheted knits, doll clothes, aprons, and pet items,” Fedorow said.
Over 60 crafters will be at the VFW showcasing their items. The Home Show will have items from Perfectly Posh, Red Rock Christian items, Mary Kay, Paparazzi, Usborne Books, Quilting Bee, Gourmet Cupboard, Premier Design Jewelry, Pink Zebra, and Ruby Ribbon. Fedorow hopes the event has a great turnout and the weather cooperates.
“I just hope that the weather holds, and that everybody can come out because we have some marvelous things for people. They’re all reasonably priced and handmade quality. I think everybody will really enjoy the day,” she said.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A light lunch will be served at the VFW with BBQ sandwiches, hot dogs, chips, pie, and cookies. A $1 donation is asked for at the door. For more information, call Fedorow at 309-335-7839 or email her at [email protected].
