OSF Healthcare in Monmouth has been recognized by Press Ganey, a strategic business partner for healthcare providers, as one of the top hospitals for cleanliness in the nation. The facility ranked in the 99th percentile by the organization. Kelly Kendall of OSF talked about the hard work that went into receiving this ranking:
“Our housekeepers absolutely take pride, and are committed and dedicated to everything that they do. They are amazing. They probably work harder than anybody in that hospital to make it what it is. We could not do that without them,” Kendall stated.
In 2011, OSF ranked as the 6th-cleanest hospital in the United States. In 2013, OSF ranked as the 3rd-cleanest hospital. At this point, the hospital has not received their ranking for 2017, but being in the 99th percentile, Manager Michael Gorham is optimistic about possibly claiming the top spot.
“Seven months in a row of every single survey that came back was 100 percent, always clean. Every patient that took a survey said that this place was outstandingly clean. They’re quite proud,” he said.
The housekeeping staff at OSF consists of 11 members. Congrats to OSF on this outstanding achievement!
