Springer Previews KCAP Events

The Knox County Area Partnership has a few important dates coming up. On January 30, 2018, KCAP will be holding their 2018 Annual Breakfast. The details for that event are still to be determined, but Ken Springer, President of KCAP, is excited to finally peg down a date.

“This is the one big event that KCAP does each year. It’s a time for us to talk about our strategy, our results, and for our investors to get together to vote. It’s going to be a breakfast meeting. We’re still nailing down the exact start time and location, but we’ll have those details in the coming months,” he said.

Coming up later this month, Springer and KCAP will be holding a workshop on Nov. 30th about nontraditional apprenticeships. He encourages local businesses to attend the event from noon to 2 p.m. to learn about different ways they can help their business.

“It’s a free workshop that’s open to any and all businesses that would like to learn about how they can incorporate apprenticeships, which can help businesses reduce turnover, improve employee retention, and unlock some tax credits,” Springer said.
