Stronghurst Christmas Walk Swiftly Approaching

Share

The Annual Stronghurst Christmas Walk is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. this Friday. A full slate of family-fun activities will be on tap for those in attendance, which includes: wine tasting at Fisher’s Grocery Store, train and wagon rides, ecumenical singers, pictures with Santa, and a raffle drawing. Jim Blender with the Stronghurst Booster Club teased a new activity that will be offered this year:

“This year we have Letters to Santa, which is new, in the Legion building. We will have letters there to Santa, and the kids just have to fill out what they want,” Blender said.

Each business will be offering treats and drinks to enjoy throughout the event. Two children’s prizes will also be given away. Raffle tickets will be $10, and the prize includes a weekend getaway to Pzazz Casino in Burlington and a $500 commemorative brick at Dr. Robert Pogue Memorial Spray Park in Stronghurst.

Bygones & Buds will also be playing a DVD in their store that shows some of the local veterans from the area. Again, the event is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. and conclude at 7 p.m. For more information, go online to the Stronghurst Booster Club’s Facebook page.
