Toal Explains Quarter Auction

It’s Quarter Auction Time at the 1st Street Armoury tomorrow night! Friday, Nov. 3rd, you’re invited to take part in the Armoury’s Bi-Annual Quarter Auction. The doors will open at 5 p.m., and the auction starts at 6 p.m. Jack Toal with the 1st Street Armoury explains what attendees can expect:

“We usually have between 60 and 100 items that are going to be auctioned off. The fall one is our big one where we have a lot of food, a lot of gift cards. We have mystery envelopes. There’s going to be a lotto tree with lottery tickets filling up the tree, food galore, different types of food items, and wine baskets, and just a variety of things that are great for the holidays,” Toal said.

Upon arrival, participants are asked to purchase paddles, which will be the key to bidding on items during the auction. There will also be various vendors with booths set up around the Armoury where you can purchase other items for your holiday shopping list. Whatever you’re looking for, there is a good chance you’ll find it on Friday night at the Armoury.

“Not only can you get your dinner for Thanksgiving, but you can get Christmas presents. There’s a lot of things for adults, kids, men, women – you name it. We’ll have a bunch of things there, and you’ll be able to get some great deals, and you don’t have to tell somebody that you only paid 50 cents for it,” Toal said.

Proceeds will benefit the programs of the 1st Street Armoury. For more information, call Amy at 734-8991.
