WCPL Staying Busy to End 2017

The Warren County Public Library has a nice slate of activities upcoming for the rest of November. This Thursday, Nov. 9th, they will be hosting a Family Read Night from 6-7 p.m. Danielle Morrison with the WCPL talked about what folks can expect:

“It’s a celebration encompassing all that Family Read Night means: the importance of reading, the importance of reading together as a family and sharing that bonding time, and just celebrating reading that you’re doing. We’re actually partnering with the ROE and the American Chemical Society: Monmouth College Chapter. Some of the college kids from that chapter and the ROE are going to work together to help us put on this Family Read Night,” Morrison said.

The event will feature crafts, story time, snacks, and a science station, which will be put on by the American Chemical Society from Monmouth College. Each family in attendance will also leave with a free book.

Another event on the horizon for the Library is their monthly film discussion. On Nov. 16th starting at 4 p.m., the MRHS Film Club will be hosting a film discussion of the 2017 documentary “Whose Streets?” Rebecca Eaton with the Library talked about that event:

“This month, in honor of International Day of Tolerance on the 16th, they are doing a film discussion of a documentary called ‘Whose Streets?’ It’s a documentary about the police brutality in Ferguson that started a few years back. It will be a very interesting film discussion after the movie screening,” Eaton said.
