Your Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is sophomore basketball player, Carly Gillen. Carly led the Titans in scoring through the first five games of the season, including a 3rd place finish in the Ridgewood Thanksgiving Tournament. Her efforts were rewarded in a placement on the all-tourney team.
Your United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is junior girls basketball player, Carly Thompson. Carly led the Red Storm in scoring in each of her team’s 4 games at the Ridgewood Tournament in Woodhull. She scored a team-13 points in the first game of the tourney against the Orion Chargers.
Your West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is sophomore basketball player, Carley Lafary. Carley got her season off to a great start with 14 points against the A-Town Tornadoes in the ROWVA Cranberry Classic Tournament. She also was a force on the boards, leading the Heat in rebounds through the early part of the season.
Your A-Town Tornado Athlete of the Week is junior basketball player, Kayleigh Sebben. Kayleigh had a fantastic ROWVA Cranberry Classic. She averaged twelve points in her team’s three games. Her high point total for the week was a 14 points outburst against West Central.
Your Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is senior basketball player, Emily Meinert. Emily was as consistent as you can get through the first four games of the season for the Silver Streaks. She averaged 11 points, with three games in double figures and a high game of 13 against East Peoria.
