Here’s your local high school Athletes of the Week for the week ending Nov. 14th, 2017:

Your Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is freshman girls diver, Ari Bailey. Ari finished her first season of high school 1-meter diving with a 2nd place finish at the Western Big Six Conference championships. Her score of 297.9 at the Sectional meet placed her in 4th in loaded field of divers at United Township.

Your United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is senior cross country runner, Olivia Bishop. Olivia finished her 2017 season as the most consistent runners for the Red Storm. She was the top-placing United female at the Lincoln Trail Conference championship meet with a 27th place and also finished 14th at the Orion Charger Invitational earlier in the season.

Your Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is sophomore volleyball player, Delaney Woodard. Delaney’s first full season of varsity volleyball culminated with a West Central Conference North Divison all-conference first team selection. She led the Titans in assists in nearly every match this season.

Your A-Town Tornado Athlete of the Week is senior football player, Gage Coursey. Gage’s hard work along both sides of the line of scrimmage earned him a placement on the Prairieland All-Conference offensive and defensive teams. His blocking helped pave the way for some great rushing numbers for the Tornadoes this past season.

Your West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is girls golfer, Maddie McBride. Maddie was the low-scoring golfer for the Heat in many meets this past season. She shot her team’s lowest score in the Lincoln Trail Conference championships and was also the top finishing Heat golfer at the IHSA Regional meet as well
