Here’s your local high school Athletes of the Week for the week ending Nov. 7th, 2017:
 
Your A-Town Tornado Athlete of the Week is junior volleyball player, Charli Johnson. Charli’s great play on the court this season was recognized by opposing coaches around the Prairieland Conference. She was named to the Prairieland All-Conference’s Special Mention list.
 
Your United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is senior football player, Zac Frieden. Zac’s final season of high school football ended with him being named to the Lincoln Trail Conference’s All-Conference 2nd team defense. He showed his versatility by also being named to the Honorable Mention offensive list as well.
 
Your West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is junior football player, Jensen Bowman. Jensen ended his season with being named to the Lincoln Trail Conference All-Conference team. Opposing coaches thought highly enough of his play along the line of scrimmage to vote him to the 2nd team offensive list.
 
Your Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is junior football player, Jamonny Skinner. Jamonny ended his record-breaking year with an amazing 189 yards receiving on 11 catches, all while scoring two touchdowns, in a season ending game against Kewanee.
 
Your Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is sophomore girls swimmer, Hailey Glasnovich. Hailey was very busy winning medals at the recently completed Western Big Six Conference championship meet. She placed 2nd in the 100 yard backstroke, 4th in the 100 yard butterly and was a part of two 3rd place finishing relay teams.
