Here’s your local high school Athletes of the Week for the week ending Dec. 12th, 2017:

Your Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is senior girls basketball player, Cora Neal. Cora hit some clutch free throw down the stretch in her team’s win over the Liberty Eagles. She scored a total of 51 points in three Titan wins last week.

Your United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is senior boys basketball player, Toby Whitsitt. Toby’s scoring touch is heating up for Red Storm. He averaged 11.5 points in two of his team’s games in the United Red Storm Holiday Tournament. Included in that total was four, 3-pointers.

Your West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is senior boys basketball player, Ben Krieger. Ben has averaged 15.5 points per game in his team’s first three contests in the United Holiday Tournament. His high point total was 21 in a close loss to the Ridgewood Spartans.

Your A-Town Tornado Athlete of the Week is senior boys bowler, Johnathon Mason. Johnathon broke two school records during a dual meet win over West Central at Tombstone Lanes in Monmouth. He rolled a 3-game series of 717 and his single-high game of 277 broke another.

Your Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is senior boys basketball player, Andrew Anderson. Andrew led the Streaks in scoring in a Western Big Six Conference win over United Township. He came back the very next night and put up 19 points in a close non-conference to loss Morton.
