Here’s your local high school Athletes of the Week for the week ending Dec. 26th, 2017:
 
Your Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is junior boys basketball player, Jamonny Skinner. Jamonny poured in 22 points in an important West Central Conference North Division victory over Camp Point Central. Included in those 22 points was going 12-for-15 from the free throw line.
 
Your United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is sophomore girls basketball player, Shalyn Lucas. One of many talented underclassman for the Red Storm this season, Shalyn led the Red Storm in scoring in a recent loss to Elsberry, Missouri in the Rumble on the River Shootout in Quincy. She scored eight points.
 
Your West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is junior girls bowler, Danielle Rhinehart. Danielle has led the Lady Heat in scoring in nearly every meet this season. Earlier this year, she placed 32nd out of 100 bowlers at the Abe Lincoln Invitational Tournament in Sprinfield with a 6-game series of 974.
 
Your A-Town Tornado Athlete of the Week is senior boys basketball player, Hunter Darst. Hunter led the Tornadoes in scoring with 12 points in a non-conference win over Stark County. He also handed out four assists in the game, a stat in which he leads A-Town in this season.
 
Your Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is junior boys swimmer, Drew Giles. Drew had a fantastic day at a dual meet win over Burlington recently, he won the 50 yard freestyle and 100 yard breaststroke races. For good measure, he was also a part of the winning 200 medley relay team.
