Here’s your local high school Athletes of the Week for the week ending Dec. 5th, 2017:

Your Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is senior girls bowler, Alyssa Theobald. Alyssa placed 8th at the Kewanee Invitational at Dura Bowl Lanes. In her 6-games, she knocked over 947 pins for an average of 158 per game. Her single-game high score was a 185.

Your A-Town Tornado Athlete of the Week is sophomore girls bowler, Alexis Wilson. Alexis had a fantastic Abe Lincoln Invitational in Springfield. She placed 13th out of 100 total bowlers with a 6-game pin total of 1111, including a high-game of 223.

Your Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is junior boys basketball player, JC Sells. JC has taken advantage of his first two varsity starts by putting up back-to-back double digit scoring nights. He averaged 10.4 points in two Titan wins.

Your United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is senior boys basketball player, Ethan Chenault. Ethan led the Red Storm in scoring in a non-conference win over Southeastern, scoring 11 points. In an earlier season win over West Central, he came off the bench to score 16 points.

Your West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is sophomore boys bowler, Wesley Stewart. Wesley led the way for the Heat at the Abe Lincoln Invitational in Sprinfield. He rolled a 6-game total of 1007 to finish in 38th place out of 80 bowlers. He had a single-game high of 2017.
