Monmouth College's Dan Evers is MWC Top Track Performer For First Week

MONMOUTH, Ill. – Monmouth’s Dan Evers (Sugar Grove, Ill./Kaneland) opened the indoor track season with a personal-best and earned the season’s inaugural Men’s Field Event Performer of the Week award for men’s track.
Evers turned in his career-best in his first meet last week at the Frigid Bee Invitational with the nation’s second-best vault. The senior easily won the pole vault after clearing 17′ indoors for the first time in his career. Evers, whose indoor best had been 16’10-3/4″, cleared his lifetime mark on his final attempt. He also scored in the triple jump where he placed seventh with a leap of 42’10-3/4″, just 6″ out of fifth place.
