Your Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is senior boys basketball player, Cornell Dotson. Cornell scored 20 points in a loss to 6th-ranked Danville at the St. Joseph-Ogden shootout. Earlier this season, he was named to the Taylorville Holiday Tournament’s All-Tournament team.

Your Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is junior boys basketball player, Rylan Heinrich. Rylan took advantage of his first varsity start to put up 11 points and haul in 6 rebounds in a narrow, West Central Conference loss to Macomb. He has also shown some toughness on the floor by being 2nd on the team in charges taken.

Your West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is freshman girls basketball player, Mady Reed. Mady scored in double figures in both of her team’s games last week. She poured in 17 points in a Lincoln Trail Conference win over United, with three, 3-pointers. Mady was a perfect 4-for-4 at the free throw line for good measure.
