The 9th Annual Monmouth Home Show will be next weekend, Feb. 17, at the 1st Street Armoury from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The show is sponsored by Alexander Lumber and will feature around 30 vendors to help you prepare for spring home projects. Amy Patterson with the Monmouth Chamber of Commerce touched on the array of services that will be offered:

“We have a wide variety of things. It’s not just for people who do construction – although we do kind of push that a little bit. But also, insurance and networking like U.S. Cellular and the Cellular Connection as well,” Patterson said.

Alexander Lumber, People’s Do-It Center, Columbia Decorating, Voorhees Siding & Windows, and Bluejay Barns are just a few of the companies that will be spread out throughout the Armoury on Saturday.

The show is open to the public with no admission fee. Door prizes will also be available to win, so visitors are encouraged to register for various prizes at the different booths.

The Chamber will be giving away two $100 gift certificates for grocery shopping at County Market and Save-A-Lot. But that is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to prizes according to Patterson.

“Some of the other prizes are Bluetooth stereo headphones. Coach House gives away an entire garage. We have another one that gives away $20,000 in new windows and doors; that’s Renewal by Andersen. Kindle fire tablets, grill sets … People’s will be giving away two shopping sprees for $500 each,” she said.
