Corporate and Leisure College Offers Unique Experience at CSC

Carl Sandburg College’s Corporate and Leisure College offers students non-credit classes that provide customized training that’s practical, convenient, and specific to a business’ needs. Stacy Rucker with the College talked about the upcoming spring schedule and why these classes are fun for students, even when they aren’t receiving a grade:

“I sometimes talk about them being the fun classes – not that other classes cannot be fun – however, typically if you’re not receiving a grade, it does have a more fun atmosphere. And it’s just a demand in the community for those kind of classes. People are looking for things to get out and do, so we’re happy to be able to offer those,” Rucker stated.

Cooking, art, exercise, and history classes are just some of the choices available to Carl Sandburg College students through this program. One-day trips to historical locations are also available to sign up for. That list of locations for the spring semester includes: the Quad Cities, Pella, IA, Quincy, IL, Cedar Rapids, IA, Dubuque, IA, and LaSalle, IL.

Some classes do require a fee, but that fee covers supplies for the class. For more information about the Corporate and Leisure College or to view a schedule of classes, visit sandburg.edu or the College’s Facebook page.
