Galesburg 2018 Annual Dinner and Business Excellence Awards Upcoming

The 2018 Annual Dinner and Business Excellence Awards, an event to celebrate the Galesburg Chamber volunteers, the Board and members as well as the work of the Chamber and the Galesburg community will take place March 1 at the Lakestory Pavilion. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with the event starting at 6 p.m.

Kate Rees, the marketing and communications coordinator for the Galesburg Chamber of Commerce, reported that the keynote speaker this year will be Dave Dunn, who will be speaking on the topic of growth. Dunn is a local entrepreneur and owns Dave’s Auto Body. He also runs the master’s program at Galesburg.

Rees also stated that this year’s awards will be Innovative Excellence and Small Business Excellence and Chamber Advocate of the Year. Winners will be announced at the event.

“We’re super excited for this event, it’s gonna be great. We actually closed the ticket sales on Friday, and we’re expecting about 200 people, so it’s gonna be an awesome night,” Rees said.
