Jarrelyn McCall, Knox College Women’s Basketball

GALESBURG, Illinois – Jarrelyn McCall was named second team all-Midwest Conference in a release today.

McCall finished seventh in scoring (14.4), fifth in rebounding (8.0), third in free throw percentage (.833), third in assists per game (3.3), and second in assist/turnover ratio (1.1) in the Midwest Conference, making her one of the best all-around players in the league as a sophomore. She had a single-game high of 30 points, including a perfect 11-for-11 from the charity stripe, against Lake Forest on January 27. McCall posted eight double-doubles on the season and helped Knox to their first MWC Tournament berth since 1996-97, most wins since 1989-90, and most conference wins in school history.

McCall also made the second team a year ago after averaging 9.8 points per game and grabbing 6.2 rebounds per game. She dished out 2.3 assists per game to put her among the MWC leaders among first-years in all three categories. She was in the top-10 rebounders in the conference overall as well. She ranked first in the conference with an .877 free throw percentage (64-for-73), second best in school history. She also ranked fourth in defensive rebounds per game, grabbing an average of 4.8.
