Here’s your local high school Athletes of the Week for the week ending Feb 13th:

Your Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is senior boys diver, Austyn White. Austyn claimed the Western Big Six Conference championship of the 1-meter diving competition in East Moline. His score of 347.25 was better than all other competitors.

Your West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is sophomore girls basketball player, Carley Lafary. Carley scored 11 points in her team’s final game of the season against Mendon Unity in the regionals. She led the Heat in scoring and rebounding for the year at 7.1 points and 7 rebounds a contest.

Your Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is senior boys basketball player, Lane Frieden. Lane scored in double figures with 10 points in a non-conference win over Abingdon-Avon. He’s also hit some big free throws down the stretch of games this year and leads the team in that category.

Your A-Town Tornado Athlete of the Week is Tornado sophomore boys basketball player, Graham Struhs. Graham led the Tornadoes with 15 points in a non-conference matchup against Monmouth-Roseville. He currently leads his team in 3-pointers attempted and made for the season.

Your United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is senior boys basketball player, Toby Whitsitt. Toby drilled five, 3-pointers in the first half of his team’s senior day win over Stark County. He led all scorers in the game with 21 points, including a perfect 4-for-4 day from the free throw line in the final minute of the victory.
