Local High School and Junior High Sports Update for March 8th, 2018

Boys Basketball

A pair of area sharp shooters will participate in tonight’s preliminary round of the Country Financial 3-point Showdown at the Peoria Civic Center. Monmouth-Roseville’s Nick Kelley will shoot in the Class 2A prelims and will go in the first group at 5:00. West Central’s Bradon Annegars will also shoot in the first group of the Class 1A preliminaries.

Junior High

The ICS Trojan 8th grade volleyball team claimed a Class 1A Regional championship last night at ICS Jr. High in Monmouth. The Trojans improved to (21-0) on the season with a 25-10, 25-11 victory over Cuba. ICS will face the winner of tonight’s match between Williamsfield and Limestone Walters on Monday at Williamsfield High School at 6:30
