Scholarship Deadline for Carl Sandburg College Approaches

Scholarships are readily available for students attending the Carl Sandburg College.

Danielle Williams, coordinator of Alumni and Scholarships of Carl Sandburg College Foundation Office, explained that students must be enrolled at the college before they can apply for scholarships that the college provides. The Carl Sandburg College website has information on all of the scholarships available.

Williams highlighted the main scholarship application that students fill out.

“There’s about ten pages of multiple choice questions, yes-no questions really, and then there’s about two where they can fill in answers,” Williams said.

The application also has plenty of space for students to explain why they desire to attend the college and why they believe they should receive a scholarship. This main scholarship application can be used on many different scholarships that the college supplies.

Many of the scholarships are specific to areas of study, while others are dependent upon grades or community involvement. March 15 is the deadline for this scholarship application.

“I’ve never met anybody that doesn’t qualify for at least one scholarship,” Williams stated.
