The Scots batted around again in the eighth as Starkey added another RBI triple.Grant Myers equaled Starkey’s three RBIs with a 3-for-6 effort at the plate.
Monmouth came from behind again in the late game with a four-run fourth all off the bat of Myers. The seniors’ two-out grand slam gave the Scots a lead they would not surrender as Connor McDonald twirled seven innings of six-hit ball for his first win of he season. Dalton Phillips piled on the Pioneer with a solo blast in the eighth for good measure.Myers finished the twinbill with seven RBIs and three runs scored.
