Here’s your local high school Athletes of the Week for the week ending April 3rd:

Your Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is freshman softball player, Gracie Cuni. Gracie hit the first home run of her high school softball career as she blasted a 2-run shot in a game against United. In back-to-back games last week, she was 3-for-7 with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

Your United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is senior baseball player, Adam Crain. Adam smacked two home runs in the first game of a double header against Ridgewood. Those round-trippers helped his team defeat the Spartans. All total for the day, he was 3-for-8 with three extra-base hits and three rbis.

Your West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is sophomore softball player, Courtney Torrance. Courtney had a fantastic double header against Lincoln Trail Conference foe Princeville. She was 5-for-7 in the two games. For the season, Courtney is hitting .500. That average is the 3rd best on the ballclub.

Your A-Town Tornado Athlete of the Week is senior baseball player, Wyatt Cameron. Wyatt drove in the only run of the game in a non-conference matchup with Knoxville. His 6th inning double proved to be the winning run. Wyatt also had a pair of rbis in a win against ROWVA/Williamsfield earlier in the week.

Your Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is junior baseball player, Nick Fields. In the final three games of the Silver Streak Invitational, Nick was 8-for-12 at the plate. He also scored five runs and had four rbis as the Streaks won two of those three contests. For the entire week, Nick was 10-19 for a .526 average.
