May is Small Business Month in the United States, so the Galesburg Chamber of Commerce has plenty of exciting events on the slate for the coming days. The first event planned for this Thursday will celebrate the introduction of a new business in Galesburg according to Chamber Executive Director Jessica Linder:

“We have a new business in downtown Galesburg; it’s Pedals, Planks, and Poses Fitness Studio. The ribbon cutting will be on May 10th at 4 p.m. for anyone that would like to join us for that celebration,” she said.

Barash & Everett Attorneys will be debuting a new office in downtown Galesburg as well. A similar ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on May 16th at 4:30 p.m. to celebrate.

Other events during the month of May mentioned by Linder include: Business After Hours at the Galesburg Public Library, May 24th, 5-7 p.m.; Caffeinate Your Community by the Young Professionals of Galesburg on May 29th at 8 a.m.; and the Non-Profit Network’s CEO Confidential on May 17th from 7:30-9 p.m.
