The Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau is selling their 25 pound boxes of peaches again. The peaches come from Rendlemen Orchard in Southern Illinois. Order forms can be found at the Farm Bureau or online. Forms need to be turned in by July 27th. Delivery of the peaches will be on Monday August 6th.

Jared Kunkle, President of the Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau, wants to remind farmers about what to watch for during the excessive heat this summer. Kunkle shares the animals are the big ones to watch and to make sure they have plenty of water and shade available. It is also important to keep an eye on your crops during the heat because even though corn does like the heat, it still needs a break. The excessive heat can cause the corn to grow too quickly causing them to turn grey, so getting some cooler nights is a big help.

Kunkle also wants to bring to everyone’s attention that crop dusters will be out and about spraying fungicide on crops.

In past Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau news, the bureau held their annual meeting last Tuesday June 26th with a live and silent auction. The Farm Bureau raised a lot of money at the event that will go towards their foundation. Also, the tractor drive took place on June 2nd with around 20 individuals took part in the event. The drivers rode about 70 miles and had a great day and lots of fun.
