Monmouth College Women's Golf Earn Program's First National Team Academic Award

MONMOUTH, Ill. – Monmouth women’s golf coach Ashley Sims’ academic challenge to her team was answered recently when the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced the Fighting Scots had earned their first national All-Scholar team academic award in program history.
Just a week after Kaniehsa Whatley and Mamie Ambrosch were lauded for their academics by the WGCA, the Fighting Scots were announced as one of the top 20 Division III teams in the nation for academic standards. Monmouth’s nine-woman team posted a 3.515 team gpa to rank 19th of the 25 teams on the selective squad.
Monmouth will return six of last year’s student-athletes when the fall season opens next month.
